Ely 3 came away vicotorious from a fixture with Jets 3....

It was another great weekend for Ely 3 as they battled to a narrow win over Jets. After beating Burwell last weekend, Ely came into the game on a high and proved more than a match for Jets in the opening two quarters.
Despite the wet weather, Ely managed to pick up the pace in the third quarter, with Anita Reidy and Rachel Starling working hard in goal to get the balls in and the defence of Jo Elkington and Heidi Cone looked solid. Centre Jo Hayward, Charlotte Butcher and Karen Carter were relentless at keeping the ball for the home side. Player of the match was Jo Hayward.
